Aperture is designed as a local-first media application. Media files on your device are not intended to be uploaded to iWas Digitals merely because you use the app.

Information Aperture may use

Depending on the features you choose, Aperture may process account information, app settings, playlists, favourites, playback history, resume positions, diagnostic data, advertising-related data, and device metadata needed for sync or app operation.

Device permissions

Aperture may request access to media on your device and may request microphone access only when you deliberately use a recognition feature that needs audio input.

Cloud and third-party services

Planned integrations include Google Firebase services for authentication, synchronization, analytics and crash reporting; Google AdMob for advertising; Audius for supported online music functions; Radio Browser for online radio; and LRCLIB for lyrics where available.

Advertising and consent

Aperture may display advertising. Where required, consent and privacy choices will be presented before personalized advertising or related processing occurs.

Your media

Cloud synchronization is intended for lightweight app data such as account profile, playlists, favourites, settings and playback state. It is not intended to upload your personal music, video or photo files.

Account deletion

Users will be able to request deletion of their Aperture account and associated cloud account data. See the account deletion page.
